Grabrok – A volcanic crater located in the west of Iceland, that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding terrain.
Akureyri – Whale watching from Akureyri, a vibrant town situated in northern Iceland, often referred to as the “Capital of the North.” It is surrounded by breathtaking mountains and the picturesque waters of the Eyjafjordur fjord.
Godafoss – Cascading down a horseshoe-shaped rock formation, this waterfall known as “Waterfall of the Gods,” offers a magnificent display of water, mist, and rainbows.
Dimmuborgir – A unique and eerie lava field in northern Iceland, featuring incredible volcanic rock formations and caves.
Skutustadir – Situated in the Lake Mývatn area, you will find the fascinating pseudo-craters of Skutustaðagigar. These unique craters were not formed by volcanic vents but instead resulted from gas explosions when hot lava interacted with the cool, wet surfaces approximately 2,300 years ago.

Eastfjords of Iceland – Surrounded by steep cliffs and breathtaking coastlines.
Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon – Boat ride on this mystical lagoon, decorated with different shades of turquois and white icebergs that have broken off from Breidamerkurjokull glacier and float in the lagoon.
Diamond Beach – A name derived by visitors, this black sand beach seems covered with broken off pieces of icebergs that gleam like diamonds in the sun.
Reynisfjara – A black sand beach located in the south of Iceland, known for its dramatic basalt columns and towering sea stacks where you can witness the power of the Atlantic Ocean as it crashes onto the shore.
Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls – Two of Iceland’s most well-known waterfalls, renowned for their beauty and their accessibility. Both falls are approximately 60 meters tall and offer visitors the chance to get up close and personal with their cascading waters.
Thingvellir – A historical site located in a rift valley between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, where Icelanders established their parliament, Althing, in 930.
Geysir – A geothermal area in southwest Iceland, famous for the Great Geysir and the hot spring Strokkur that erupts every few minutes.
Gullfoss – A large and beautiful waterfall in southwest Iceland, also known as the “Golden Waterfall”.
Fridheimar greenhouse and horse stables – This farm grows tomatoes and other vegetables all year round using geothermal energy to power their greenhouses. Also known for breeding Icelandic horses and horse shows.

ABOUT TOUR
Join us on an exploration of Iceland’s Ring Road, where we will set off on a captivating journey. Our adventure begins at Snaefellsnes peninsula, where the active volcano Snaefellsjokull glacier awaits. At Ytri Tunga beach, we’ll encounter playful seals, while Arnarstapi offers impressive rock formations and bustling bird cliffs. The iconic Kirkjufell mountain awaits on the northern peninsula, and as we head north, we’ll marvel at the beautiful Glanni waterfall and the mighty Grabrok crater. Whale watching in Akureyri presents a chance to spot magnificent Humpback whales in Eyjafjordur fjord. On our way to Lake Myvatn, we stop and view the majestic Godafoss waterfall. By the lake we will experience an abundance of diverse nature, including Dimmuborgir lava formations. Continuing east, we will visit Dettifoss, Europe’s most powerful waterfall, and drive through the unique and beautiful landscape of the Eastfjords, passing small coastal towns. Heading south, the awe-inspiring Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon awaits, where we will embark on a boat ride among drifting icebergs that eventually find their way to the black sand beach, glistening like diamonds. Further south, the moss-covered Eldhraun lava field, Reynisfjara’s black sand, and the captivating Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls await. The Golden Circle will lead us to Thingvellir, the historic site where the Icelandic parliament was founded in 930, followed by the geothermal wonders of Strokkur geyser and the majestic Gullfoss waterfall. As we explore, we’ll also acquaint ourselves with the remarkable Icelandic horse and discover the innovative use of geothermal energy in vegetable production.
The accommodations for our tour are 3-4 star hotels, which all feature private bathroom facilities. Breakfast and dinner* is provided as part of the tour package, but lunches are not included. Our experienced driver guides are licensed and knowledgeable, with expertise in the history, geology, geography, and wildlife of Iceland.

Our mode of transportation is a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Passenger Van, which can accommodate up to 19 people comfortably.

ITINERARY
Day 1
Upon arrival at Keflavik Airport, you have the option of taking a taxi directly to your hotel or you can take the Flybus to Reykjavik and a short taxi ride to your hotel. This is a day for you to spend on your own, with the opportunity to experience the city of Reykjavik. You can check out museums, various art exhibitions or just stroll down Laugavegur, the main shopping street. The city center offers several cafes and restaurants serving both Icelandic and international cuisine.

Day 2
We set off into the countryside early in the morning and drive to the south side of Snaefellsnes peninsula. Our first stop will be Ytri Tunga beach, with its golden sand, where a colony of seals have made their home along the coastline. At Budir, our next destination, we will have a look at Budakirkja, one of the oldest wooden churches in Iceland. We continue our drive to Arnarstapi, a small fishing village, where we will see magnificent basalt columns and amazing rock formations along the coast. Next is Thufubjarg with its breathtaking scenery and bird cliffs. On the northern side of the peninsula, we stop at Kirkjufell, a mountain with a unique shape, where you can see strata from the Tertiary period.

Day 3
We drive to Akureyri with some stops at points of interest. First, we stop at Glanni, a stunning waterfall in the Nordura salmon river, which locals believe to be the dwelling place for elves and trolls. Then we take an easy hike to the top of the 3,400-year-old Grabrok crater, which is near the waterfall. Before taking a lunch break, we will stop at the impressive Kolugljufur canyon. According to folk stories, it was carved by the troll woman Kola. In the afternoon, we will go whale watching in Eyjafjörður, departing from the port of Akureyri.

Day 4
From Akureyri, we will head to the “Waterfall of the Gods,” also known as Godafoss. We will continue to the area around Lake Myvatn, where we will take a short hike among the Skutustadir pseudo craters. We will visit Dimmuborgir, which has over 2000-year-old lava formations and caves, and then head to Hverir, known for its geothermal mud pools. On our way to East Iceland, we will make a stop at Dettifoss waterfall, the most powerful waterfall in Europe.

Day 5
Today we will be driving to the stunningly beautiful East Iceland, which is known for its many narrow fjords, surrounded by steep cliffs and breathtaking coastlines. There are fishing villages located in most of the fjords, and we will be taking occasional photo stops along the way. In the afternoon, we will take a boat ride among the icebergs at Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, one of the most magnificent places on earth. The lagoon is formed by icebergs that have broken off the receding glacier and float around the lagoon. A short glacial river makes a runway for the icebergs to Vestari-Fellsfjara beach, where they look like huge diamonds on the black sand. In recent years, this beach has become commonly known as the Diamond Beach.

Day 6
Today we will enjoy the beautiful coastline of the south part of Iceland. First, we experience the spectacular moss field in Eldhraun lava from Skaftareldar eruption in 1783. The tour continues further west, where you can stroll on the black lava beach to see the impressive bird cliffs at Reynisfjara near Vik. Nearby is one of the most impressive waterfalls in the country, the 60-meter high Skogafoss waterfall. In the afternoon we stop at the high and picturesque Seljalandsfoss, where you have a chance to walk behind the cascading waterfall.

Day 7
We start the day by visiting Fridheimar greenhouse and horse stables. Next, we explore the Golden Circle route. At Thingvellir, we take an easy walk in the rift valley between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Thingvellir is the site where the parliament of Iceland, Althing, was established in 930. We continue our drive to Geysir geothermal area where we can see the hot spring Strokkur erupt approximately every 5 minutes. Just a short ride from Geysir, we visit Gullfoss (Golden waterfall), one of Iceland’s most iconic waterfall. Later in the afternoon, we head to Reykjavik for a short orientation tour of the city and then we say our farewells. The evening is enjoyed at your leisure in Reykjavik.
